Fridays are for TREATS!

I work hard.  I'm sure most of you do too.  We are busy people with lots of obligations and interests and we do our best to take care of ourselves along the way.  Sometimes we deserve to treat ourselves, right?  Today that meant that after my morning miles I picked up a whole wheat bagel toasted with apple cinnamon cream cheese.  That's right, APPLE CINNAMON CREAM CHEESE.  (I'll wait for you finish drooling.)

This stuff literally tastes like fall themed cheesecake all over your morning.  It is, for lack of a better word, awesome.  Anyway, I had a rather glorious breakfast.  The rest of the day has been rather uninteresting.  I did give another late afternoon diet soda alternative a try:

SNOW Natural Soda.  The ingredients on the can all seemed safe.  Helllo natural cane sugar, it's nice to meet you!  I always worry about things that are fortified with vitamins, but with the exception of the added Bs and Cs, I had faith in its natural-ness.  It also tasted great, and there were only 115 calories in the can.  No caffeine though, I ended up having a mug of black coffee afterwards.  I'm definitely going to make a special trip to Whole Foods for Kambucha this weekend though.  The search for a healthy alternative continues!

How do you treat yourself for all your hard work (at living)?

  1. 90% of the time I use food as a reward too... Although pretty much every psychologist says that it's a bad habit, sometimes I just want to buy that 5$ chocolate bar or the large Pinkberry serving with brownie bites because I know it'll make me feel pretty good :-)

Ha, I'm so happy that you are taking my advice and want to try the kombucha! I really hope you won't regret listening to me... it is kind of a love or hate thing. Don't smell it when you open the bottle and ignore any yucky looking stuff on the bottom. Just sip it and think about the fact that it's all natural and supposedly super healthy and energizing. Good luck ;-)
